I started playing alto saxophone in the fifth grade in the program at my school, played a little tenor and tuba in middle school but kept on playing alto through high school. In high school I started playing baritone saxophone with my band but stuck it out on alto. In 2004 I started my studies at the Jazz Studies Program at Michigan State University where I am currently finishing up my junior year. My sextet recently played at Baker's Keyboard Lounge in Detroit and The Firefly Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We were also featured guests on The Mitch Albom Show on WJR 760AM. I also have been playing (most) Tuesday's at Gregory's in Lansing with my quintet.
