In our group, we focus on problems that require the design and synthesis of macromolecular solids that have a particular property, such as degradability, a high ionic conductivity, or a selective permeability toward molecules.

The Department of Geography at Michigan State University is one of 11 degree-granting units in the College of Social Science. Housed in the Geography Building, the Department has over 30 faculty, 50 graduate students, 80 undergraduate majors, and 130 undergraduate minors. Faculty and student research centers on such topics as people-environment relationships, climate, geographic information science, soils-geomorphology, urban structure, and global change. The spatial extent of these research interests range from local to global in such places as Kenya, Brazil, the Great Lakes, China, and Michigan.

0 - Department of Zoology at Michigan State University
encompasses a truly integrative approach to the study of animal biology. There is a wide range of interests and expertise within the Department, with almost 40 faculty members and around 80 graduate students in the Department. Because of this, students in Zoology can obtain specialized training in areas ranging from molecular biology to ecosystem study. The diversity of research programs also presents students with unique opportunities for a broad exposure to state-of-the-art biological research in areas outside of their main interests.

Business planners can be expected to be involved in a wide range of business, real estate, intellectual property, labor, sports, and entertainment matters. Typically, business planners enter into long-range counseling relationships with clients rather than one-time events.

will appeal to those students who plan to serve a wide range of clients and legal matters in a small to medium size firm setting or solo practice. These lawyers will be likely to handle estate planning, real estate transactions, family law, commercial law and contracts, criminal matters, and personal injury matters. Their clients will consist of the general public and small business owners. Emphasis will be on effective counseling.

0 - Cooley Law School - LITIGATION CONCENTRATION
This concentration will appeal to those who wish to develop the skills necessary to function as an effective civil or criminal litigator. Persons in this track recognize that few disputes are actually tried to a conclusion. For those that are, a special set of lawyering skills must be possessed by the truly effective lawyer. This curriculum will focus on pretrial and trial tactics, both criminal and civil.

0 - Cooley Law Public and International Law
This concentration covers administrative law, constitutional law, civil rights law, and international law courses. It will interest students who wish to pursue careers in administrative law, public interest, or government service. For students desiring an administrative law practice, this concentration offers advanced courses in administrative law as well as in the substantive matters that are typically addressed by government agencies, such as environmental protection and labor relations.

0 - SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE : COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS FOR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
The Scholarship Committee granted two scholarships for Fall 2004 from the cash donations and the sale of items donated to the Global Festival’s World Gift Shop. The recipients were Vida Wilmot from Ghana, majoring in literacy instruction, and Yue Wang from the People’s Republic of China, majoring in statistics.
