Their clients will consist of the general public and small business owners. Emphasis will be on effective counseling.

This concentration will appeal to those who wish to develop the skills necessary to function as an effective civil or criminal litigator. Persons in this track recognize that few disputes are actually tried to a conclusion. For those that are, a special set of lawyering skills must be possessed by the truly effective lawyer. This curriculum will focus on pretrial and trial tactics, both criminal and civil.

For students desiring an administrative law practice, this concentration offers advanced courses in administrative law as well as in the substantive matters that are typically addressed by government agencies, such as environmental protection and labor relations.
