This event involves families from all over the county from Lansing to Stockbridge. The Fair plays a very important role in the community and the county. To have a successful Fair, the Fair Board works very closely with the 4-H Clubs in the area and gives young people from age 5 to 19 the opportunity to display skills learned through their club, and to earn recognition for their work at the Fair. The Fair also provides a way for many artisans and collectors to demonstrate their talents.

Be A Tourist In Your Own Town serves to acquaint area residents with hospitality-related businesses and attractions in order to create local “ambassadors” who will spread the word about Greater Lansing. The goal is to familiarize residents with the leisure options that are available in their own backyard so that when a visitor asks, “what’s there to do in town,” each and every resident can respond with countless suggestions and a sense of community pride.
