- Michigan Catholic Credit UnionOur name wasn't always Michigan Catholic Credit Union. We were originally known as Guardian Angels Parish Credit Union and were founded in 1956 as a single-parish Credit Union. In 1969 we added St. Columban (Birmingham) and St. Anastasia (Troy) and became Tri-Parish Credit Union. In 1974 we added Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish (Beverly Hills) and Holy Name Parish (Birmingham) and emerged as Oakland Catholic Credit Union. During the next 20 years, we added an additional 20 parishes along with two Knights of Columbus Councils. In 1990, the St. Patrick Credit Union of White Lake which serviced the parishioners of that parish joined the membership of Oakland Catholic Credit Union. In 1995 our field of membership was expanded to any Catholic parish wishing to join the Credit Union within a 25-mile radius of any of our locations. We now serve over 130 parishes. On January 1, 2005, our name officially changed to Michigan Catholic Credit Union. June 2007, Lansing Area Catholic Credit Union which served St. Michael, St. Gerard, Holy Cross, St. Jude, St. Mary Cathedral, St. Therese parishes and the Diocese of Lansing joined the Michigan Catholic Credit Union family.
