The Riv, located at the corner of Abbot and MAC in downtown East Lansing, is one of the seminal watering holes of East Lansing. The big weekday attractions to the Riv are the bi-weekly half off food days (Mondays and Wednesdays) and Burgerama on Thursdays, which includes extremely inexpensive burger and beer specials. Not uncommon to see lines at the front and back door on the weekends.

We have a richly appointed dining room that is finished in deep red fabrics with beautiful chocolate brown wood. The walls are adorned with vintage framed black and white photos of the downtown Lansing area and its rich history as the capitol of our state. We also have a beautiful but quaint elevated lounge for sipping one of our specialty martinis or one of our many varieties of wines and spirits. Troppo also has a heated terrace that looks on to the Capitol and the Michigan Avenue plaza. This area seats fifty and can be booked for private events.
