- Melting MomentsHandmade or Homemade Premium Ice Cream, Ices, Sherbets, and Yogurts. The world is a very complicated place these days. Ice cream reminds us to slow down, unplug from our day planners. There is a life out there full of simple pleasures. When we opened our doors to the world (and East Lansing) in 1984, we began with the perhaps naive belief that if we simply cared about making the best ice cream we could, folks would gravitate to us--- and reward us for our efforts. "Life is Good...there's Ice Cream!"

- Baskin-RobbinsCheck out the Flavors of the Month. Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins began making ice cream in 1945. Their mission was to create delicious ice cream concoctions with loads of ingredients and fanciful names. Since then, over 1,000 different ice cream flavors have been created and enjoyed by ice cream lovers everywhere. From the initial concept of 31 flavors - one for every day of the month - Baskin-Robbins has become the largest chain of ice cream stores in the world.

- Stucchi's (Okemos)Our family tried Stucchi's for the first time at their Grand Opening last month. Since then we have been regular customers. Everything is so good, and the warm inviting atmosphere makes everything more enjoyable. Stucchi's has many selections of hand-dipped frozen yogurt and ice cream. Everything we have tried has been rich, creamy and smooth. On my last visit I tried a smooshin (made on a frozen marble slab) with non-fat vanilla soft serve and strawberries. It was fantastic. It beats anything I've had with soft-serve yogurt. My husband tried the ice cream coffee drink called a Russian Zinger. He loved it. The location is the perfect spot for an ice cream store. But I guess I am partial since we live within walking distance of Stucchi's. Our kids ride their bikes to Stucchi's which makes it convenient for them. Their prices are about right when you compare them to other ice cream stores in East Lansing. Their portions are very large which makes it a bargain for big appetites. I have to agree with Jason B. If Meridian Crossing ever gets a video store or market this area of Meridian Township would be complete. ~ Jamie P.
