Mike was the first of the two brothers to pick up a guitar. It was the mid-sixties and sporting a Beatles haircut he began to wail on his red and black Sunburst, Harmony electric. A year or two later Den began playing bass. By the turn of the decade the brothers began to jam and record alot. In 1987 the brothers began recording a joint project. The album ended up being a solo release (TOYS FROM HELL) by Den but it has three of Mike's songs (not including the acoustic jam they did together) in the bonus tracks. The album received airplay in the United States (college and independent stations) and overseas. The Cape Tapes (basement tapes) were recorded in 1995. They began on Cape Cod where Mike lives and were finished later back in Lansing, Michigan where Den lives.

So, Chistian and Chris came up to me after school and asked if I wanted to play drums for them during the talent show. I said yes, thinking it was the week coming up. But then we went to ask Mrs. Pike and She said it was the next day. She said we could play, but we had to play last, and we couldn't play for the money. we said "ok". So that day after school we went and practicedat my house. and we thought it sounded good. We all got along good and like relitivly the same music.
