The Michigan Native American Arts Initiative is a project to help strengthen Native American arts in Michigan. The goal is to find ways to creatively increase the sharing of information between and about artists and to strengthen opportunities for support and recognition of artists. The project recognizes that Native American culture celebrates the arts through objects, painting, dance, theater, writing, oratory, and music. We seek input from all Native American artists and those associated with them: artists, singers, musicians, dancers, gallery owners, museum staff, pow wow committees, collectors, and those who appreciate and promote their work.

MSU Confucius Institute (CI-MSU) was established in collaboration with China Central Radio and TV University under the authorization and sponsorship of China's National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. Its objective is to meet the ever-increasing demand for Chinese education in the U.S., providing quality Chinese learning materials and experience to both K-12 students and adults and helping training qualified teachers of Chinese.

ACS began nearly 2 decades ago as the Arab Student Organization, and sadly diminished by the late 90’s. However, the initiative taken by a small number of people 3 years ago helped rebuild a new Arab organization on the basis of reaching out to the MSU and local community in addition to raising awareness of the Arab culture, and heritage.
