Wildtype exclusively grows plants native to Michigan, from Michigan genotypes . We grow trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers typical of southern Michigan woodlands, wetlands and prairies. It is our objective to propagate nursery stock with enough genetic diversity to create self-sustaining populations. Therefore, the vast majority of our plants are grown from wild seed stock. This is what we mean when we say our plants are borne to be wild .

The Wooden Shoe Herb Farm is a working farm. It is located 5 miles east of Mason, in mid-Michigan. The farm consists of the shop, greenhouse, drying barn with classroom, surrounded by acres of organically grown herbs and perennials. The farm is owned by Brenda and Ron Ginther.

About Us... Since 1980 The Plant Professionals Inc., locally owned and based in DeWitt Township, has grown with mid- Michigan. Our 7000 square-foot facility on 3 acres features 18 ft. ceilings. This custom facility allows us to ship and acclimate large specimen trees and palms from South Florida's tropical foliage growers. Each season brings its own color and fragrance as we prepare for and respond to each client's needs. January begins with a flurry of activity as we pack away literally hundreds of trees wreaths and garlands. Poinsettias give way to the vibrant hues of bright bromeliads and the warehouse is filled with tropical plants fresh from Florida.
