Wilson learned the welding trade working in Detroit in the late 1920s and 30s. After becoming a highly skilled welder, he saw an increasing need for the repair of stamping and forging equipment. After traveling to Lansing on a regular basis to service the growing market there, Wilson decided to start his own machinery repair company.

ETM has a total of 165,000 Sq. ft of manufacturing space. The main plant on 920 N. Clinton Grand Ledge, houses all of the corporate offices, as well as manufacturing, and our facility at 721 N. Clinton houses the tooling department. You can get a look at the inside of the shop by visiting our on-line tour of the place. If you need to contact someone at the plant check the contact page. If you ever get the chance to come to our facilities, you must see the ledges for a spectacular piece of scenery.
