Great Lakes Folk Festival in downtown East Lansing. The Great Lakes Folk Festival showcases the traditional cultural treasures of the nation's Upper Midwest and a sampling of the best of traditional artists from around the country and the world. The festival encourages cross-cultural understanding of our diverse society through the presentation of musicians, dancers, cooks, storytellers and craftspeople whose traditions are rooted in their communities. 1- Women in the Arts Festival This year's festival is right around the corner! Directions: Edgewood United Church is located in East Lansing, Michigan. It's easy to reach by foot, bike, automobile or public transportation. If you're traveling from some distance away, you'll want to take the Saginaw Street exit from US-127 and head east. Then you'll make right turn (South) on Hagadorn. Turn right at Beech (Edgewood is on the corner of Beech and Hagadorn) and you'll find parking on Beech and a spacious lot at Beech and Lexington.
